Direct Mail
Overview:
Sarina works on direct mail campaigns that reach thousands of alumni, parents, and friends, inspiring giving and strengthening their connection to the university. Each piece is strategically designed to drive thousands of dollars in philanthropic support each year. They also can serve as a key tool for stewardship and donor recognition.
1865 Society suite:
This suite consisted of a series of creative stewardship pieces celebrating loyal annual donors. It began with a new donor sticker postcard to thank them for taking that first step, followed by a welcome mailing featuring a custom pennant for those who had met the requirements to join the society. Continued support is recognized through a Cornell key tag mailing and socks inspired by the story of Ezra Cornell’s socks going to space. Each piece was designed to surprise and delight donors while reinforcing their connection to Cornell and the impact of their ongoing generosity.

Give to get campaign:
For Cornell, Sarina Alexander designed a “Give to Get” direct mail campaign centered on a tri-fold self-mailer that immediately engaged recipients with vibrant artwork and real-texture details. The mailer included a tear-off pledge card, making participation seamless and interactive. She also designed the three featured gifts—a sleek water bottle, a versatile crossbody bag, and a stylish umbrella—ensuring each item felt thoughtful and desirable. The project combined tactile design, compelling visuals, and cohesive product design to drive excitement and participation in the campaign.
